Our Story

From Cordaro's Pizza to The Crossroads LA and Beyond
The journey of Cordaro's Pizza began in the summer of 2020, during one of the most challenging periods of our time. Living in my apartment in Inglewood, I found comfort in one of my favorite pastimes—making pizza. Cooking has always been a special part of my life, especially since it was a bonding activity with my father, a Sergeant Major in the U.S. Army and a Chef. We spent countless hours in the kitchen, perfecting recipes and creating the kind of pizza that brought people together. It was more than food—it was a shared experience, a connection between us.

This love for cooking didn’t end with my father. It became something I passed down to my daughter, Jordyn. Just like my father and I, Jordyn and I spent weekends making pizza, baking cookies, and building memories that deepened our bond. Inspired by these special moments with my family, I decided to turn this passion into a business, launching Cordaro’s Pizza right from my apartment.

In 2020, I purchased a portable pizza oven and began catering private events. What started as a passion project quickly grew into a beloved community staple, and the success of those early days inspired me to expand. By 2021, I took on a new venture, purchasing a local beer and wine bar and transforming it into The Crossroads LA. It became more than just a bar—it was a safe space, a hub for the community, where people could gather, relax, and enjoy good food. Soon, it became known as the “Cheers of the West,” a place filled with warmth, conversation, and shared experiences.
After three amazing years, we officially closed the doors of The Crossroads LA on August 3rd, 2024. Though it was bittersweet, the decision marked the beginning of a new chapter. We sold the business, and now we are bringing Cordaro’s Pizza back to its roots—mobile and accessible. We are relaunching as a mobile pizza kitchen in the spring of 2025, ready to serve the communities of Los Angeles and beyond.

This next phase is about returning to the simplicity and passion that started it all. We’re excited to continue creating moments of connection through artisanal pizzas and to keep the tradition of community at the heart of our business.

I want to extend my deepest thanks to everyone who has supported us throughout the years. From my father’s kitchen to Jordyn’s first pizza, and from the Crossroads LA to the upcoming Cordaro’s Pizza on wheels, this journey has been filled with love, passion, and countless meaningful memories. I look forward to building many more as we take this next step together.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Cordaro
